Jay talks with Kristin Juel, singer/songwriter Shelly Peiken, and singer Ruby Velle about Juel Concepts-- an incubator and management firm for emerging, independent artists. Kristin is the founder of Juel Concepts and Shelly and Ruby are two of Kristin's clients. Shelly is a prolific songwriter who is best known for co-writing the US #1 hits "What a Girl Wants" and "Come On Over Baby" by Christina Aguilera, and "Bitch" by Meredith Brooks. Based in Atlanta, Ruby is the lead singer of Ruby Velle and the Soulphonics. In addition to charting on Billboard, her singles have been shared as both iTunes and Starbucks "Pick of the Week" tracks.
