"At present, the overall progress of the bridge has reached 95%. The lifting of the bridge deck completed in mid-March, and it is planned to open to traffic in the second half of 2025. By then, this super project that spans the 'earth crack' and is the world's first in both directions will become another landmark project that demonstrates China's infrastructure strength and injects strong impetus into Guizhou's construction of a 'world-class tourist destination'." Zhang Shenglin, deputy to the National People's Congress, vice chairman of the Guizhou Federation of Trade Unions (part-time), deputy general manager and chief engineer of Guizhou Highway Group, introduced.

The #Huajianggorgebridge is 2,890 meters long, with a main span of 1,420 meters and a bridge deck height of 625 meters above the water. After completion, it will surpass the Beipanjiang Bridge (565 meters) to become the world's tallest bridge and set a world record for the longest span of a mountain suspension bridge. The total weight of the bridge's steel trusses is about 22,000 tons (equivalent to three Eiffel Towers), and the steel trusses were installed in just two months, creating a new "Guizhou bridge construction speed."

Huajiang Gorge Bridge is a key project of the Liuzhi-Anlong Expressway, which plays a huge role in improving the expressway network in southwestern Guizhou, promoting industrial linkage in multiple places, and driving the export of agricultural products and ethnic handicrafts. After the opening of the bridge, the driving time from Liuzhi to Anlong was shortened from 3 hours to 1.5 hours, and the travel time between the two sides was shortened from 2 hours to 1 minute.

As a key project of bridge-tourism integration in Guizhou Province during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, the Huajiang Canyon Bridge will also drive the development of homestays, specialty restaurants and other business formats in the surrounding villages. For example, more than 100 young people have returned to Xiaohuajiang Village below the Huajiang Canyon to start businesses, and are planning to build cliff hotels, camping bases and other projects.

It is reported that the Huajiang Canyon Bridge Tourism Integration Project is invested and constructed by Guizhou Communications Investment Group. With the Yundu Service Area next to the bridge as the central scenic spot, based on the "scenic bridge", the Yundu Service Area will be built into a transportation and tourism integration center that integrates scenery and tourism. The total construction area of the project is 21,100 square meters. It is planned to build a complex integrating catering, shopping, entertainment, sports, and tourism. The service area includes hotels, sightseeing service buildings, toll booths, sports and tourism projects, etc. The business formats to be cooperated include sightseeing suspension bridges, canyon cableways, aerial cool play projects, rock climbing projects, mountain downhill slides, food markets, national trend cultural and creative industries, and agricultural innovation exhibitions.

“目前大桥总体进度达95%，桥面板吊装3月中旬完成，计划2025年下半年通车。届时，这座横跨‘地球裂缝’横竖都是世界第一的超级工程，将成为展示中国基建实力的又一标志性工程，并为贵州建设‘世界级旅游目的地’注入强劲动力。”全国人大代表、贵州省总工会副主席（兼职）、贵州公路集团副总经理、总工程师张胜林介绍道。

花江峡谷大桥桥梁全长2890米，主跨1420米，桥面距水面高度达625米，建成后将超越北盘江大桥（565米），成为世界第一高桥，并创下山区悬索桥跨径世界第一的纪录。大桥钢桁梁总重约2.2万吨（相当于3座埃菲尔铁塔），仅用2个月时间就完成钢桁梁安装，创造了新的“贵州建桥速度”。

花江峡谷大桥是六枝至安龙高速公路的控制性工程，对完善贵州西南部高速公路网络，促进多地的产业联动，带动农产品、民族手工艺品外销具有巨大推动作用。大桥通车后，六枝至安龙行车时间从3小时缩短至1.5小时，两岸通行时间从2小时压缩至 1分钟。

作为贵州省“十四五”时期桥旅融合重点项目，花江峡谷大桥还将带动周边村寨发展民宿、特色餐饮等业态发展，如花江峡谷下方的小花江村已有百余名青年返乡创业，规划建设悬崖酒店
