In this devlog I show the latest progress on Deep Salvage and talk about my plans for a public demo.

Since the last update, I’ve added several core gameplay systems:
– Fully functional mothership modules that affect both stats and visuals
– A mission preparation screen where you manage fuel and crew
– A reworked resource gathering system with persistent progress
– A new cargo system for both the work ship and the mothership
– Weapons and shields with energy-based mechanics

I also explain why I decided to focus on a free demo release on itch.io instead of launching on Steam for now, and how this affects the scope of the project.

Deep Salvage is a solo-developed space salvage game where you run a company, take risks, and try to profit from dangerous expeditions.
