Iran's Revolutionary Guard said it had held naval exercises in the Gulf over the past several days to prepare against potential threats. The exercises came at a time when Washington is intensifying its economic and diplomatic pressure on Tehran. Meanwhile, the Franco-Italian firm ATR had delivered five new planes to Tehran just before renewed US sanctions went into effect on Monday. And the European Union said it is ready to activate new measures to counter US interference with its firms doing business in Iran.
