Today is the 19th anniversary (as well as 11th anniversary for Woodleigh NEL and Damai on the Punggol East LRT) for Singapore's third and first fully underground MRT Line. In 2003, the North East Line began operations alongside the C751A trains serving 14 stations on the line. Buangkok and Woodleigh stations opened later in 2006 and 2011 respectively due to low developments in the area.
