In "Parade," set to the music of Eric Satie, Kolar evokes the uncertain and devastating events of 1917, mirroring the destructive energy that fractures our present. Her choreography stands as a reminder and a warning of today’s instability caused by the actions of a few powerful states, whose decisions and actions shake the very ground we stand on, causing instability and once again questioning the very survival of humanity. This new work continues Kolar's choreographic series inspired by the avant-garde Ballets Russes, whose timeless themes, innovative artistry - different approaches to the artistic medium, which were ahead of their time - and the freshness with which they still delight today, are a lasting inspiration for Masa's artistic research and expression.
