Police officers have to be ready for any situation they encounter, and that includes interacting with victims or suspects who might not speak English.

The issue of language barriers is becoming more common as Winston-Salem continues to grow and develop and people from all over the world make the city their home. And many departments across the city are looking to adapt, including the Winston-Salem Police Department, who said this is something they're always looking to improve.
