This is a quick rundown of the materials I use as an oil painter. I put this together a while ago. But since this was filmed, things have shifted - like many Canadian artists, I've leaned more into supporting local options due to recent trade realities. That said, this video isn't sponsored, or trying to be anything other than useful & honest about what’s worked for me. I’ll always aim to support small, quality & environment focused brands. This list is simply what I use day to day in the hopes of being helpful to other artists.

Products I use:1️⃣Artist quality oil paints 2️⃣W&N Liquin Original (alkyd medium)3️⃣Gamblin Gamsol4️⃣brushes sizes 0–8 round or filbert (often Rosemary & Co)5️⃣small palette knives 6️⃣H-frame easel from local art store 7️⃣grey glass palette from New Wave Art (I’ve also used a glass chopping board) 8️⃣canvases and panels from Upper Canada Stretchers, Rustic Burl, or Apollon Gotrick or aluminum/copper panels from Artefex9️⃣t-shirt rags, blue shop towels, oil safety can, razor scrapers (hardware store/Canadian Tire)🔟Masters brush cleaning soap or ENL Brush Cleaning Soap
