Innovation Spotlight: Celeste Manughian-Peter

Meet Celeste Manughian-Peter, a data science project lead in Aerospace's Data Science and AI Department.

Celeste was interested in math from a young age and, from there, pursued her bachelor's degree in math from Cal State Long Beach. And now, she works on AI for Aerospace.

"Something that's exciting to me right now is obviously generative AI. It is really exciting for the kind of advancements that we can use generative AI to solve different problems across the industry, but it's also a little bit scary. So I think evaluating what the kind of risks are and weighing that against the the pros and the cons and the ethical considerations, and that's something I'm really excited to kind of dig more into. How can we apply a generative AI in an ethical and a responsible way and make progress in a lot of domains across the industry?"

The work being done at Aerospace is truly incredible. The only thing more incredible are the people who make it happen.
