2017 Toyota Prius UNBOXING Review - Is It Finally An Enthusiast's Ride?

Описание к видео 2017 Toyota Prius UNBOXING Review - Is It Finally An Enthusiast's Ride?

For our latest unboxing review we have for you the 2017 Toyota Prius. Amazingly, this is already the fourth generation model, the original first going on sale in Japan back in 1997. It didn't arrive to US shores until 2000, and it' been a huge success for Toyota ever since. Like it or hate it, the Prius deserves our full respect because it managed, almost single handily, bring hybrid cars into the mainstream. It accomplished this by having Toyota's rock-solid reliability and build quality, low ownership cost and affordable pricing overall. The fourth gen model, launched for 2016, continues every bit of this. Powered by a 1.8-liter inline-four paired to two electric motors that receive their juice from a lithium-ion battery pack, total combined output is 121 hp, which is actually slightly less powerful than its immediate predecessor, although this new car weighs less. Power is sent to the front wheels through a Continuously Variable Transmission, or CVT. Fuel economy, as you can imagine, is impressive: 54/50 mpg city/highway. Performance, however, is well, not stellar, with a 0-60 mph time of 10.5 seconds, but sprint times isn't why people buy this car. They want an affordable (base price $23,475) five-door hatchback-style sedan that rarely requires going to the gas station. Exterior and interior design are also more emotional than before, but we're fully aware its body design may not be for everyone. In any case, enjoy the review!
