Abstract: Based in brain science from MIT and Harvard, the Brain Power System combines a smart-glass platform (for instance a hardware-enhanced Google Glass) with a family of modules (apps), each targeting a life skill that children and adults with autism want to teach themselves. Our goal is for everyone to achieve happy self-sufficiency. We have traveled the country (literally by RV, for instance, this summer) and tested our system in schools and homes across the spectrum. We listened to what families told us, and customized the Brain Power System according to what they need and want the most. At this session, we will present and demo the newest prototype modules of our system, and reveal some of our road map not yet discussed publicly. Our system uses machine vision and runs sophisticated algorithms on-device, and processes data in the cloud for predictions and reports, for instance coaching and assessing people on emotion decoding, eye contact, language, behavior control, wandering, and conversation skills.
