Speaker comparison between:
1. Celestion Vintage 30 (60w), 16 Ohms, Made in UK
2. WGS Retro 30 (75w), 8 Uhms, Made in USA
3. Celestion G12K85 (85w), 8 Ohms, Made in UK
Celestion Vintage 30 is from 2002 and it has more than 1000 hours of playing. WGS Retro 30 is from 2016 and has between 200-300 hours on it. Celestion K85 (should be the same as G12K100 or K100) is from late 1990's and has more than 1000 hours of playing.

For the comparison I used PRS SE Custom 24 Tobacco Sunburst from 2017 with PRS 85/15 s pickups, playing through Hughes & Kettner Trilogy (100w tube amp with EL34 tubes). All recordings were made with Beyerdynamic M88 dynamic microphone through ART Digital MPA GOLD tube preamp and into Focusrite 6i6 audio interface.

Clean sounds were recorded with off-axxis mic metod and crunch & lead parts were recorded with microphone in the center-1inch from the grill cloth.
There were no pedals used for this comparison besides TC Electronics Bonafide buffer and ISP Decimator G-string. No effects were used after the recording (compression, eq's or any other effect).

All guitars were tuned with 444hz tuning.
This comparison was made for personal purposes, just to see which combination of speakers to use for the next recording, and it was made in December 2018 SDH Records studio.
