Lalu dia menyapaku dengan hangat.
Dia senja, yang slalu kuimpikan kedatangannya,
Dia senja…

Ku tersenyum, terpana dan kagum;
Menatap dia hadir begitu dekat
Kutatapnya dengan lekat,
dan sungguh mendalam

Di balik warna jingganya,
dia bertanya padaku:
“Mengapa engkau mengagumiku dengan sungguh?”

Hai senja!
Tak ada alasan tuk dapat jelaskan,
Tlah habis kata-kataku untuk menunjukkan
kagumku padamu!

Hai senja!
Jamalah aku di kemudian hari,
Jemputlah irama nadaku,
Bawalah mereka menuju nirwana!
