News open to the 6pm newscast of KQTV KQ2 News, recorded on Monday, December 15, 2025. KQTV is the ABC affiliate and Heartland Media owned TV station serving the St. Joseph, MO area.

On this date of recording and upload at around 5pm CT, KQTV has made the debut of a brand new graphics package and as well with their new studio location in partnership with News-Press & Gazette Company (NPG) based from their annouced partnership deal with NPG back a month ago. This means that KQTV is now broadcasting out of downtown St. Joseph, MO of where NPG is based, marking a significant upgrade of news resources for KQ2 News itself.

The graphics package, although remains unconfirmed, seems to be a work-in-progress outgoing new look for the NPG stations.

Music continues to remain the same as before, with the station using the most recently updated themes from the This Is The Place news music package composed by Stephen Arnold Music.

Mike Martindale continues to be the voiceover artist for the station itself.
