Augusta RiverWalk | Augusta, Georgia

Описание к видео Augusta RiverWalk | Augusta, Georgia

In Summer of 2020, I took a scenic tour of the Augusta RiverWalk, located in downtown Augusta, GA. It isn't very long, so you could get a little bored with it if you're there on a bike. But it's very nice.

There are two levels - the broad, flat, brick-paved top level and the more scenic, narrow lower level down by the Savannah River. Technically, you're supposed to be on foot ONLY down on the lower level. No bikes allowed! I did not see the signs with "the rules" until after I had shot a lot of video ON MY BIKE on the lower level. But it was cool. No Karens yelled at me. One guy did give me the evil eye, though...

There are lots of historic markers, gardens, picnic areas and seating, playgrounds, overlooks, a train track, a marina, an amphitheatre...it's all pretty cool. Brought back memories for me, because back around 1990 I saw my favorite band of all time, DeGarmo & Key, perform a concert in that amphitheatre, right there on the river.

So load up your bike and check out the Augusta RiverWalk. It's free. If you're lucky, a train will come through while you're there.
