In 2024, I travelled to Nepal to take part in an expedition to Everest Base Camp, culminating in a summit of Kala Patthar.

This film is a visual journal of that journey; from arriving in Kathmandu, flying into Lukla, and trekking day by day through the Himalayas, to standing above the clouds with Everest in view.

The film is guided by voiceover taken from journal notes recorded during the expedition, reflecting on the physical challenge, the mental battles, and the quiet moments in between.

This expedition was undertaken in support of Meningitis Research UK. Oliver raised over £4,000 for the charity through various fundraisers, ultimately reaching base camp and the summit of Kala Patthar.

This is not a guide, a tutorial, or a highlight reel - just a personal record of an unforgettable experience, the people who shared it, and the mountains that changed my perspective forever.
