The b-side of “He Thinks I Still Care” (Gone 5135)

Written and arranged by a gentleman who made a huge impression on 60s’ music. Jack Nitzsche went on to score those wonderful arrangements for Phil Spector and others.

“Glass Of Tears” is also an early example of Jack Nitzsche as composer. Later offerings included “Needles And Pins” (with Sonny Bono) in 1963 and the theme from “One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest” in 1976.

Sherrell Townsend appeared to have made one other recording: “Summer Days” / “ I Love You” on Little Star, also in 1962.
