Chilling with Klavis Twin Waves over Easter. Ambient eurorack modular jam 4K

The Klavis Twin Waves dual digital oscillator module is a superb sound source in a tiny 8hp form factor. It has two digital oscillators, wave shaping, multiple waveform types, and lots of interesting cross-modulation possibilities. Oh and it can be an LFO too if that's not enough.

In this quick demo track I pair it up with the Ornament and Crime running the Quantermain quantiser. The Twin Waves is providing the lead melody on osc1, and a backing bass line on osc2. Both of these are driven by melodies I programmed into the Mimetic Digitalis. However (and this is the fun bit) the notes are not quantised - that is where the Quantermain app comes in!

Quantermain is quantising the melody from the Mimetic Digitalis for osc1, and providing interesting note progressions generated using the Logistic equation for Osc2. I add a layer of evolving notes over that using Plaits, and then route the audio through FX Aid XL running the Reverb Black Hole into Phaser algorithm. Audio is mixed through my 6 channel mixer and recorded directly with no further processing.

I also got the Klavis Mixwitch 4 channel mixer/switcher. This is a handy little module; mixer, sequencer, sequential switch, ring modulator. In this patch I'm using to send four CV sources to modulate Plaits's Morph parameter, randomly selected by a trigger from Pamela's New Workout.
