Dia Mirza started off her career as a model and went on to win the Miss Asia Pacific crown in 2000. Dia Mirza is also a Bollywood actor and producer who made her debut opposite R Madhavan in the popular movie Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein. Since then she has worked in several successful Hindi movies including Shootout At Lokhandwala, Dus and most recently Sanju. Dia Mirza also co-owns a production house with her husband Sahil Sangha. She has also been appointed UN Environment's Goodwill Ambassador to India for all her contributions towards protecting the environment. With Zee5's web series Kaafir, Dia is making her digital debut opposite Mohit Raina.

Kaafir depicts the story of a Pakistani woman trapped in India along with her daughter and her attempts to return home, along with the help of a lawyer.
