The arithmetic instructions define the set of operations performed by the processor Arithmetic Logic Unit. Instructions perform operations in source operand registers and result will be stored in destination operand register, for example addition takes place between two source operand register and result store in destination register.
The arithmetic operations of the ARM processor can only operate using:
One operand that is stored in a register.
The second operand of the arithmetic operation can be: A value stored in a register. The result is always stored in a destination register.
