Today we take you to an immersive theatre production from Taiwan’s top performing artists. They range from dancers, aerial artists, drag queens, and actors, to members of live bands. The performance is inspired by Lilith, a figure in Western mythology. FTV reporter Stephany Yang gives us a sneak peek of their show.

Dancers take to the stage in this immersive theatre show. The show combines dance and the performances of aerial artists, actors, singers, and drag queens.

The team also uses lighting and laser effects. This is a show by the Liliverse Production team. The team is comprised of local top performing arts talents ranging from aerial artists, singers, and drag queens, to actors. The shows are inspired by Western mythological character Lilith.

We try to be more international so we reference from the very ancient mythology of Lilith, this figure. She is the first women created by God. We try to use her character to address first we include feminism. Our show is very different from other immersive theaters in Taiwan because most of us are dancers. This time we also include drag queens, acrobats, and lots of actors in our show. Most of our dancers are commercial dancers. We work for a lot of famous singers like Jay Chou. She is the dance director of Jay Chou’s concert. Most of us also dance for lots of famous singers like A-mei, A-Lin and Show Lo.

The 2023 show, which will kick off on June 22, is an upgraded version of the team’s 2021 performance with new dance pieces and costumes.

This time we re-choreographed a lot of parts for our show. You will see the extension for our show because we have 50 minutes more. You will see two different endings. If you want to join us, you can experience two totally different endings. The two endings mean different meanings. You have to experience by yourself.

Liliverse Production will be performing from June 22 to June 26 at Ximen Riverside Live House.
