previous studies have largely overlooked the importance of transformational leadership in promoting digital transformation. To fill this gap, the study adopts a case study approach, focusing on DEOCA Group, the largest company in Vietnam's transport infrastructure development. The study finds that digital transformation creates pressure for all leaders, managers, and new skills of collaboration and creativity. The study suggest that to speed up digital transformation leadership, organizational culture change and transformational leadership at all levels of the managerial systems are necessary, not just at the top leadership levels. The paper recommends that DEOCA Group change is recruiting , promoting, and training policies to improve transformational leadership qualities throughout the organization.
This study findings provide valuable insights and recommendations for other leading companies in Vietnam facing similar organizational culture changes and leadership transformation challenges when dealing with digital transformation challenges.
