Je.ja.lan (The Streets), is a performance about space(s) that exposes not only passing vehicles and goods but also stories of encounters, collisions and cultural negotiations.

More than a path leading from one place to another, streets in big cities in Indonesia are the site and stage of contestations and negotiations between the modern and the traditional, the elite and the common, and those who are behind and ahead of the globalization.

A stage that unveils life composed by multiple narrations, simultaneous movements, overlapping sequences, and striking -sometimes bizarre and comical- images.

Directed by Yudi Ahmad Tajudin, produced and performed by Teater Garasi.
