Tropical Cyclone Grant has officially entered the South-West Indian Ocean basin. While it remains far to the east, we are tracking it early to ensure everyone stays ahead of the weather. Early awareness allows for calm preparation, which is always better than a last-minute rush. 🛡️

Key Points:

🗺️ The Track: Models are currently split. The European (ECMWF) model shows a northern path toward the Mascarene Islands for early January, while the American (GFS) model shows a slower, less certain trajectory.

📉 The Shift: Because the system is moving slowly, we are watching for a potential shift from a wind event to a significant rain and flood threat for Ro-drigues, Mauritius, and Réunion.

⏳ Timeline: We are monitoring the window around 2nd–3rd January closely.
