How To Buy A Cheap Software Defined Radio -RTL-SDR (DVB-T) USB

I will surely get flamed for this one :)

If you are buying a USB DVB-T dongle for software defined radio this may be of interest. People new to this hobby have been taken advantage of and frankly I'm a bit saddened by it. There is NO need for someone entering the hobby to currently pay more than $20 USD for a DVB-T USB dongle for software defined radio.

The RTL USB devices had a "hack" come along thanks to some fantastic people who shared it with the world. Some sellers of these products would have you believe you need "their" version to be valid for a certain area- or have you believe their crazy price is "acceptable" Please spread the word that is is not acceptable. Let's get new people into the world of radio transmissions at a reasonable price and begin their adventure.
