Sharing some things, I do to make sure I don’t miss taking any of my medications. After getting a kidney transplant it is more important than ever to stay on top of things and not miss any dose of my medications.

Taking your meds at the same time each day is recommended to ensure their efficacy. Building a routine can help you stay on schedule. Using alarms can help remind you to take your meds on time. Another great tool is using a phone app to help remind you to take your medication and keep track of your prescriptions. I personally have been using medisafe.

If you are struggling to take your meds try and break it down into three categories. Correct Medication and Quantity, remembering to take them, and having them with you. Try and identify the area(s) you have been struggling with and come up with some creative ways to address the issue.

I hope sharing my process can help you get creative and find a solution that will work for you.

I feel so blessed to have received a kidney transplant and will do whatever I can do to protect it.
