High angle rescue and confined space rescue training in District 8, Nov-Dec 2013.

Students received training on equipment, techniques and procedures for the safe rescue of persons trapped at heights or in a confined space.

Scenarios included rescuing a window cleaner or other height access worker.
Rescue of persons from a drain network, including atmospheric monitoring, breathing apparatus escape sets and rope rescue systems.

At a time when much of CFA\'s focus is on bushfires, a small number of dedicated CFA members brush up their skills on the all year round hazard and work of technical rescue.
