What you should ask yourself is - do I know my customer well enough'? Do I know wha tthey want?

Verne gives a fantastic example of one of his customers from the office furniture business. This business is a pure commodity business with barely 2-4% margins. However, they were able to understand their customer needs and add ancialliary products and services where they could extend their margins to 15% and thus improve their overall profitability.
