American actress and director Angela Evelyn Bassett Vance was born on 16 August 1958, in Harlem, New York City, and is probably best known for her roles in such films as “The Score”, “Jumping the Broom”, “Music of the Heart” and “Meet the Browns”. During her career Angela has been nominated for and has won such awards as an Academy, Black Reel, BET, MTV Movie and Golden Globe Awards, among many others. Recently she has been working on the TV series’ “American Horror Stories: Coven” and “Freak Show”.
