The ghosts in GTA Online only appear at night from 19:00 to 06:00 on your phone’s clock. Each of the ghosts have a specific window of time they’ll appear, so if you miss them, you’ll have to wait another 48 minutes for the time to roll around again.

There are 10 ghosts scattered around Los Santos. Luckily, they’re all down in the city itself, so you won’t be traipsing all over the map.

The trick, however, is that each ghost only appears for a specific one hour window — meaning two minutes of real-world time — each in-game day. That means you’ll only have two minutes to find the ghost, get your picture, and then travel to the next location.
Further, the final ghost only appears once you’ve taken pictures of the other nine. And all of that means you’re probably going to spend multiple in-game nights chasing these specters.
