'BJP appointed governors violated spirit of the Constitution' - P Chidambaram

While addressing the media Former Union minister P Chidambaram said: "The governors appointed by BJP since 2014 have repeatedly violated the letter and spirit of the Constitution. In the process, they have gravely impaired parliamentary democracy, its conventions and traditions. Despite these judgments and the statements of law, the Governor has stalled — and continues to stall — a perfectly valid request of the Council of Ministers to convene a session of the Assembly...The Governor has no discretion at all in the matter."
