Terceira Mar Hotel - overlooking the ocean and Monte Brasil - Angra do Heroismo - Terceira Island

We stayed at the Terceira Mar Hotel, within walking distance of the city of Angra do Heroismo, a UNESCO World Heritage site. From our balcony, we looked out on the ocean and Monte Brasil (Mount Brazil) and Forte de São João Baptista (Fort of Saint John the Baptist). Monte Brasil was formed as the result of various eruptions of the Guilherme Moniz volcano.
The view of the ocean was beautiful and ever changing with each day (of sun, wind, or rain). For breakfast, the buffet had such a variety of choices of meats, eggs, local cheese and pastries and sweet fruit. We got to know the staff by name and they were so kind and gracious. We went outside multiple times to walk around the beautiful grounds and to be near the ocean. Take a look at the views of and around the hotel on our video.
