Also know as Maitake, which translates to dancing mushroom in Japanese. It was given this name because of the joy experienced when finding it, which then leads to an unresisting urge to bust some shapes!

Hen of the woods is a real prize edible mushroom. A tremendous gift from nature if you’re lucky enough to find one growing in the wild. It has been consumed for centuries in China and Japan where it is one of the major culinary mushrooms.

You will find it growing mainly at the base of Oak trees but can also be found on other deciduous trees.
