The Lab NYC is Mixmag and WAV's weekly live stream and post-work unwind, powered by Void Acoustics, where we showcase the finest DJs direct from our Brooklyn office. This Friday, April 27, we host an all vinyl session with NYC's own Mobile Mondays! founder Operator Emz and eclectic UK talent Misbehaviour.

After purchasing her first record at the age of nine, Misbehaviour was hooked on vinyl. Since then the London native developed an eclectic ear that allows her to satisfy diverse audiences, traversing through various styles of funk, soul, disco, house, hip hop and everything in between. Now based in NYC, she's worked with icons like Biz Markie, Danny Krivit, Just Blaze and Downbeat The Ruler, and is a resident of the standout local party series Mobile Mondays!. Misbehaviour is a tastemaker, educator and viral sensation. Now the in-demand talent will bring her unique sound to The Lab NYC dancefloor.

Completing this masterful vinyl showcase is Operator Emz, aka Michael Green, who is the founder of Mobile Mondays!, NYC's all 45s vinyl night that's been running strong for seven years to become a local institution. As one of the most respected collectors in NYC, Greene's known for his skills as a DJ, music producer and hip hop expert as well as his work producing records for Cyndi Lauper, MIA and Joell Ortiz. As a curator, he introduces underground classics to new audiences, which is an aspect of his artistry we can't wait to witness.
