Speaking at the Year in Review with Putin, the Russian leader said Moscow has seen some signals from Ukraine indicating readiness for dialogue, while stressing that any talks would be based on the terms he outlined at Russia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2024. Putin also revealed he had received an updated report from the Chief of the General Staff on the situation in what Moscow calls the Special Military Operation, claiming the strategic initiative has fully shifted to Russian forces, with troops advancing in all directions and Ukrainian forces retreating.
