There are a lot of factors that differentiate the guitar from any other instrument, the way the notes are placed, the timbre, etc. But something that the guitar can do that wouldn’t be possible with an instrument like the piano is the bending of strings. “Bending is essential to creating intensity and emotion in solos,” says Michael Williams, as he demonstrates in this video the techniques and practice methods to achieve a good bend on your guitar. This video comes from “Blues Guitar,” a Berklee Online course written by Michael Williams.
