The Geological Survey of South Australia (GSSA) is tasked with the acquisition, synthesis and communication of geoscience data for the benefit of all South Australians. In this presentation, GSSA Director Rohan Cobcroft gives an update on the work of the team and the plans for the future.

The GSSA works with many parties to deliver the best geoscience information to assist mineral explorers with their efforts to discover the next mineral deposit.

The GSSA has completed a unique global open source geoscience challenge (ExploreSA: The Gawler Challenge) and is now embarking on the next phase of this data project which presents an exciting opportunity to work with a global community of geologists and data scientists. We have ongoing projects with Geoscience Australia, CSRIO and are a participant in the MinEx CRC.
