■ DUBAI MALL:
It's the largest mall in the world by total land area, and the 26th largest shopping mall in the world by gross leasable area. It was the most visited building on the planet, attracting over 54 million visitors each year. It offers adjacent iconic Burj Khalifa, 1,200 retail shops, Olympic-sized recreational ice rink, aquarium and underwater zoo, waterfalls, and dancing fountain. Twice delayed, Dubai Mall opened on Nov 4, 2008. Owned by Emaar Properties, the four-level mall has direct access to the metro station via 820 meters long elevated, air-conditioned link bridge.
