The X Factor 2010 - Black Eyed Peas - The Time (Dirty Bit) - Live Performance

The American stars showcased their newest single, "The Time (Dirty Bit)", on the semi final results show. The song samples the Dirty Dancing track, '(I've Had) The Time Of My Life'.
The group are never at their best live but we thought that tonight is one of their better performances and the dancers with light up boxes on their head certainly beat Kylie Minogue's pacman crew from a few weeks ago.
We hated this song when it was premièred on radio a few weeks ago, however it is definitely grower and the familiar tune certainly helps to lodge it in your head for hours after hearing it.
It would be better if Fergie didn't feel the need to gyrate so much during every performance. We're a little sick of seeing her crotch by this point......though thankfully at least she managed to retain some bladder control tonight.
After the performance, band member Will.i.am spoke to Dermot O'Leary about who stands out for him on the show. The star helped Cheryl Cole choose both Cher Lloyd and Rebecca Ferguson when he assisted her at judges house and on which one he is hoping will survive tonight's elimination and hopefully win the series, he said:
It's hard, they are two great talents that shouldn't be competing with each other. They have totally different styles. Cher is wonderful, Rebecca -- you would think she was hanging out with Marvin Gaye every day, she has so much soul. I'm torn. I would love to work with both of them.
