Brand New HMart Market Eatery Food Hall in American Dream Mall: Walk Through and Food Tour

Описание к видео Brand New HMart Market Eatery Food Hall in American Dream Mall: Walk Through and Food Tour

HMart just opened a huge food hall at American Dream Mall and we were among the first to try it. ‪@Hmartofficial‬ opened their store at American Dream in February 2023, but until now it's been missing the Korean supermarket chain's signature Market Eatery Food Hall. Like everything at this megamall, the new H Market Eatery Food Hall is much bigger than HMart's typical food court.

The Food Hall hasn't held their official grand opening yet, but it was packed the entire time we were there! This location offers many of the Korean food faves that customers have come to love at other H Mart food halls, plus some fun new spots.

We tried: K-Town Hero, BBQ Chicken, Goldmiss, Let Them Talk Bar and ‪@gongchausa‬

K-Town Hero is the newest shop from Chef Hooni Kim, the renowned chef behind beloved NYC Korean restaurants Meju and Danji. Like his other fast casual options, K-Town Hero has a small, focused menu. We ordered the Buldak Chicken Sandwich and kimchi-dusted fries, both of which were great!

BBQ Chicken is the popular Korean fried chicken franchise with locations throughout New Jersey. They had a 40-minute wait for chicken, so we ordered dumplings and rose ddukbokki instead.

Goldmiss is a small chain with locations in NY, Hawaii, Virginia, and NJ. They sell mochi donuts, Korean-style hot dogs, shaved ice and more. We tried the mochi donuts this time, but bought a hot dog from them at the Dream Food Fest earlier this summer. (Catch that full video here:    • Dream Food Fest 2024: American Street...  )

Let Them Talk Bar is perhaps the most unique option at the food hall. It's a bar with self-serve beer taps. It's a similar concept to the Vinoteca automatic wine bar, located in the American Dream Food Hall upstairs. (Watch here:    • The Food Hall at American Dream Mall:...  ) Unlike Vinoteca, the taps at Let Them Talk Bar aren't automatic, making it a bit more cumbersome to use. You also have to wear a 21+ bracelet to prevent underage drinking in the large food court. It's an interesting concept that's worth a try!

We also order a drink from Gong Cha, which is a very popular tea franchise that originated in Taiwan. We didn't get to try every shop this time, but will be coming back! Since the food hall is still in soft-opening mode, a couple of the restaurants weren't open yet. The Bao Express, a fast-casual outpost of the popular NYC restaurant The Bao, has a small but tasty-looking Chinese menu, and Wok Bar, a hotpot restaurant, will be selling skewers at their American Dream stand. The food hall also has a Don Don Curry, Sang's Kitchen, Tofu & K-BBQ, and popular Korean bakery, Tous Les Jours.
