I’ve known for a while that the subframe needed help. The front body mounts were toasted, and I guessed that the rears were no better. With the floor install coming I really wanted subframe all taken care of so we can line it up with new hardware to the new floor pan. But in order to do that we have to address the rust. And in order to do THAT, I had to strip the subframe down, pull it out, and hope that the new rockers, what’s left of the quarters, and what little bracing I have in the car would be enough to hold it together while I knock the ugly off this 50 year old subframe.
