30 years ago Nelson Mandela proclaimed his dream of a rainbow nation. Today South Africa is one of the most unequal countries worldwide. And while education should be an equalizer, student protests over fees, the inability to provide affordable housing and the inequality in cities like Cape Town paint a different picture.
