Queen of the Sea - A Collaboration with my Daughter

I took a step back from collaborating with Eve for a few years allowing her space to discover her own passions without the added pressure for her to pursue mine.

Eve is really drawn to engineering, creating and still loves to paint so when she began asking me to create with her again I, of course, jumped at the chance.

Eve decides what the theme will be and tells me what she would like me to contribute, sometimes her vision changes mid-collaboration which I've learned to prepare for as much as I can.

In this piece, she wanted to be the Queen of the sea and so I drew a portrait of her. From there a whole story evolved as we painted and those priceless conversations are always what I look forward to the most.
