BCA14 Kotor to Sutorina, Montenegro - Balkans Cycle Adventure

We opted for a taxi from Virpazar to Kotor. Missing another Panoramic Road but a rest was needed due to an injury sustained on Day 11. A day exploring Kotor and Kotor Bay before heading north again. Speed boat trip up the bay to Perast, stopping at the Island church - Our Lady of the Rocks. In Perast we had time to wander, then sit and enjoy lunch under the shade of a cypress tree a little bit away from the more touristy hotel waterfront restaurants. Return boat trip to Kotor and walked through the old city inside the fortress walls. Met a couple of New Zealand bike packers Em & Hugo who are on a huge adventure.
Setting off from Kotor for a short, flat but very scenic day. Beautiful ride following the Bay of Kotor through many villages and coastal hideaways. Greg had a bit of a mechanical with a few dropped bolts. Managed to find enough to keep us going. Rounded the corner into the entrance of the Bay of Kotor and cooled by a fresh Adriatic Sea breeze. Quick ferry crossing across the narrow Bay entrance. 3 ferries continuously running. Free for cyclists.
Hugged the coast for most of the rest of the way along very quiet holiday areas. Not busy - appears more like the places locals go. No big hotels or apartments. Coffee stop followed by a lunch stop in seaside bars, restaurants. Our Hotel was a bit out of town, and we seemed to be the only guests. Large dining room to ourselves. Very close to the border we are heading for.
