Adjusting Hammered Dulcimer Treble Bridges │Songbird Dulcimers

Описание к видео Adjusting Hammered Dulcimer Treble Bridges │Songbird Dulcimers

Please read all of this. Chris Foss of Songbird Dulcimers shows how to adjust and tweak hammered dulcimer treble bridges so the instrument will play in tune.

Check out our web site at http://www.songbirdhd.com There is also a printable version of this procedure on our web site on the Resources Page. Under most circumstances this will be something you will never have to do. Once a bridge is set, it stays set, and the dulcimer just works like it should. But hammered dulcimers do change shape just slightly over time, and this will throw the bridge set off.

So if you are having trouble getting both sides of your treble bridge to tune correctly, this is the procedure to fix it, and is correct for all makes of hammered dulcimer, not just our Songbird models. Finding the "happy medium" bridge set, then adjusting the individual strings "north or south" on the side rods is how you adjust a dulcimer with steeply angled pinblocks like the Masterworks, or RL Tack dulcimers.

We've got a fine assortment of hammered dulcimers and our website: http://www.songbirdhd.com
