In my area, there are very few rock crawling competitions like Xrock or other sanctioned events. About a month ago a local shop owner wanted to put on a rock crawling comp called the Halloween Crawl Comp. He posted in some local Facebook groups for some people willing to test out 508 Int. in Charlton MA, for a technical rockcrawling course. There were 2 divisions. the first was the smaller tire division that was up to 35" tires. The second was 36" to 40" tires. The other rule was that it needed to be a vehicle with a vin.
This video is a quick overview of the day. I had some running problems that started right after unloading off the trailer. I had a surging idle and random stalling. Turns out that my TPS was out of spec. I tired my best , but I ended up stalling many times during both runs. I placed 3rd out of 5. It was fun , but probably not something I can see myself really getting into.
