PRAYER
As a Blossom
Have I arrived,
from a stone,
upon this stone.
And as a Blossom
will I go,
on yet another stone.

and time again,
as a Blossom come,

This is the first of a number of pieces to be written in collaboration between composer Jason Noghani and guitarist Jonathan Wiseman. The scordatura is based around the harmonic series of D, and the only performance technique used throughout the piece is natural harmonics (especially unconventional ones). The Mayan Tzolkin calendar, based on the number 13, was used to control the pitches which were correspondingly arranged around a 13 note row (12 pitches, and 13th note the same as the first). Luzia Hubers magic number was 13, a number that remained of significance throughout many of the inner and outer experiences of her life.
