Voort tomatoes scrubs floors with a Stefix 800 walk-behind machine

Van der Voort tomatoes is a tomato grower that has been around for more than 75 years. Here, about 11,000,000 million kilos of tomatoes are grown in the greenhouse at 2 locations in ‘s-Gravenzande and Vierpolders in the Netherlands.

For Thom van der Voort, a clean working environment in this production is very important. The concrete path in the greenhouse and the processing area must look clean and fresh. ‘In addition to a clean appearance, this also contributes to better hygiene. That is very important, because of the high virus pressure in tomato crops,’ says Thom van der Voort.

For this reason, van der Voort tomatoes chose to purchase a Stefix 800 floorscrubber from Steenks Service. This floorscrubber has a brush width of 80 cm and a suction nozzle width of 103 cm. This results in a machine with a capacity of 2,900 square meters per hour.

Thom van der Voort already had a floorscrubber from another supplier. However, this did not work well and this wasn’t desired.
