Morning Show with Mary Jacobsen September 19th, 2024 Bert Snow

Mary Jacobsen speaks with Bert Snow, artist and coordinator of the Sculpture at Maudsley State Park exhibition, about the original vision for the annual three-week non-juried outdoor sculpture show featuring local artists as well as diverse community members, which is in its 25th year, and how it has evolved over time.

Snow discusses the significance of this year’s theme of Thread, chosen by the 49-plus participating artists. He also talks about what artists and visitors say about the show’s impact and importance, and describes some of this year’s works that are particularly unusual or thought provoking because of style, size, materials, message, or techniques.
