Announcement for Jodhpur workshop - Professor Radhavallabh Tripathi

We are happy to announce that Rajasthan Sanskrit Academy and Rajasthan Sangit Natak Academi have joined their hands together to organize a five day Workshop on Nāṭyaśāstra from 13th December 2021 to 17th December 2021. The workshop will function on both on-line and off-line modes.
Nāṭyaśāstra is the voluminous and the most important treatise on nāṭya (Drama and Theatre), Music, Aesthetics, Literary Theory and performing arts.
The idea behind the workshop is to provide a first-hand exposure of the text of the Nāṭyaśāstra and to understand its philosophy.
The workshop will cover all the aspects of drama, theatre and other arts as treated in the Nāṭyaśāstra. The text will be explained through Power Points including figures/ graphics/charts wherever necessary. The soft copy of the Nāṭyaṥāstra Reader, edited by Prof. Radhavallabh Tripathi, comprised of selections from all the 37chapters of the Nāṭyaṥāstra will be published on the occasion.
The Workshop will be conducted by Professor Radha vallabh Tripathi. Outstanding scholars and theatre experts like Bharata Ratna Bhargav, Mahesh Champaklal, Bharata Gupt, Bhargav Thakar and Dolly Thakar will also be joining as Resource Persons.
The medium for the Lectures by the Resource Person will be Hindi and English. The discussions may proceed through Sanskrit, Hindi or English
